Visit the ancient capital Sonargaon, a historic administrative, commercial, and maritime center of Bengal in the Pre-Muslim, Muslim, and British periods. There is not a better or more exhilarating way to see the scenic majesty of the countryside. You board on our wooden boat to absorb the sights while experiencing the surprisingly peaceful sensation of being on the river. This is the only exciting way to discover Bangladesh. You stop on Island Villages, bazaars, see the real lifestyle. See the remaining of old capital, Abandoned Panam City, Folklore Museum, River, and the lifestyles based on the river. The old city and the traditions displayed in the museum, the river life, bazaar, the people and the boat cruise on the river will satisfy you for the whole day.
Our responsible guide will pick you up from your place around 8:00 am. We will start towards the Meghna River to have a boat cruise. Experience the live fishing activities on the river. Get off the boat to visit an island. Meet happy people, especially the children. After lunch, we will visit the Sonargaon Folklore Museum and Sardarbari which has a rich collection of folk art, cultural and traditional works. Then, we will visit the abandoned Panam city from the early 20th century. There are more than 50 ruined buildings in a row that are too impressive. We will drive back to Dhaka in the evening to finish the trip at your place.
